This seminar is an international collaboration proposed by ISPRS WG IV/11 aimed at exploring the role of digital technologies in the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage.

The event emphasizes the documentation and restoration of grottos and hypogean environments, with contributions from academic and research institutions worldwide. It serves as a platform for knowledge sharing, fostering innovative methodologies, and encouraging interdisciplinary cooperation in cultural heritage preservation. Given the strong focus on capacity building the event also aligns with the objectives of the ISPRS WG V/I ensuring the dissemination of innovative tools and methodologies in cultural heritage education.

The seminar gathers experts from renowned institutions as the University of Florence, Beijing University, Istituto Centrale per il Restauro, Università Politecnica delle Marche, Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, and Norwegian University of Science and Technology to present cutting-edge projects and foster dialogue in cultural heritage preservation.
